And if I got a little stuck one place I could always find something else to do (that wasn't grinding).ġ honestly is my least favorite Fallout while 2 is my 2nd favorite only being beaten by NV cause I prefer the gameplay/exploration of new style Fallout.įallout 2 clearly excels in gameplay, with more features and content variety. It just seemed more random in what happened to you.
I was way too weak to take on the one last side quest I had found (getting rid of the deathclaws) having tried several times and really didn't feel like grinding to get enough xp just to do that sidequest and I couldn't for the life figure out what I needed to find at the church (and at the time was stubbern about making myself figure it out rather than looking it up on the internet).Īlso, I really loved the craziness of 2. I even tried to just wonder all over the map and found absolutely nothing else of interest that I hadn't already found. I got stuck in 1 after a certain point (I think where I was supposed to find something in the church but just wasn't getting it) and couldn't find anything else to do (had finished all the quests in the other few towns I discovered). It was easier to find other things to do when I got frustrated with one thing until I was ready to take it on.
Honestly, I can't put my finger on it, but it was just better.
